The Hotel Aroi Bierzo Plaza, renovated in summer 2009, is located in the heart of Ponferrada’s historic centre, on the Plaza del Ayuntamiento. Occupying three noble mansions, the first of them originally from the 17th century, it has been carefully restored and fitted out to offer a warm, charming space within the old setting of the city.

The hotel is perfectly located for both business and leisure trips, a step away from the city’s main points of interest, such as the Templar Castle (12th c.), the Radio Museum, the Bierzo Museum, the Basilica de la Encina, etc. Ponferrada is also the last city of the Camino de Santiago before entering Galician lands.

Restaurante la Violeta: Great table service and high market cuisine à la carte, combining the selection of the best traditional products with exquisite preparation. Elegant, welcoming decor.

Mesón Cervecería La Taberna: A restored old cellar where you can savour the most varied menu of local tapas and portions, accompanied by good beer and the best selection of wines. It has a set menu.
