Our guesthouse is in a privileged spot in the medieval town of Villafranca del Bierzo; at our feet flows the river Valcarce, which nearby has its confluence with the Burbia.
We are on the Camino de Santiago, which gives us a wealth of experience in caring for pilgrims over decades. Its location, besides being a comfortable option for a rest on the Camino, is also, thanks to being within Villafranca del Bierzo, just 2 km from exit 407 of the A-6 motorway, the entrance to the Los Ancares Natural Park and 20 minutes from Ponferrada and Las Médulas. In our restaurant you can taste one of the best cuisines of El Bierzo.
If you want superior-category accommodation, we can also offer you our Posada Las Doñas del Portazgo, a doll’s house in an 18th-century building in the historic centre of Villafranca del Bierzo, fully restored.
