The Hotel Akerreta is a small, cosy hotel with a family atmosphere, the result of a careful four-year restoration.

Casa Sastrearena, as it was formerly known, is protected by the Príncipe de Viana Institute for the Conservation of Navarrese Heritage, both for its historical and its architectural interest.

The house still preserves its original Pyrenean-style kitchen, keeping its bread oven. Its enormous interlaced oak beams show the strong historical weight of the place. All this without giving up the comforts of the 21st century.

The hotel also has several rooms and small nooks where you can read quietly while enjoying the panoramic views of the valley and the meadows around us. In winter by the fireplace and in summer on the terrace or in the garden.

In our restaurant you can savour traditional Navarrese cuisine with vegetables from our organic garden, local products and home-made desserts. To guarantee a peaceful evening for our customers, the restaurant is exclusive to guests staying at the hotel.

The hotel consists of nine spacious double rooms and two singles distributed over two floors. All are different and share the original beam framework of the house. Hotel Akerreta has furnished the rooms with period elements to preserve the original style of the place.

The Hotel Akerreta is in a privileged spot within the small village of Akerreta. Located on high ground, it offers us magnificent views of the nearby forests, meadows and mountains.

We are located just 10 km from Pamplona, 40 km from the Irati Forest, 28 km from Roncesvalles and 12 km from the Quinto Real beech woods. And if you want to travel to the coasts of Gipuzkoa or France, they are only 70 km away. Hotel Akerreta is the perfect starting point for travellers who want to get to know different areas of Navarre and neighbouring regions.

We are also right on the Camino de Santiago; specifically, we are at the end of the 1st stage starting from Roncesvalles.
