The San José tourist hostel, opened recently in 2010 by the Vieito Fuentes brothers, with the aim of giving rest to pilgrims walking the Camino de Santiago to Finisterre-Muxía and vice versa. It is also suitable for tourists who wish to spend a few days’ rest very close to the Galician coast, contemplating and enjoying landscapes, beaches, estuaries, rivers, monuments, gastronomy, etc.
ServicesFacilities rated two stars by the tourism authority. We have taken great care to create spacious, welcoming areas to give our guests the highest possible quality of service. Our hostel is right on the Camino de Santiago to Finisterre-Muxía and vice versa; it is the first resting stage after covering 20 km from Santiago to Negreira. Extra services: laundry and internet. Medical centre 50 metres away (on the same street), town centre 150 metres, bus stop 100 metres, public swimming pool 50 metres, banks, shops, bars and restaurants within a 200-metre radius.
NearbyAccording to its heraldry, Negreira is “Noble” and “Very loyal”, reflecting a Jacobean legend on its coat of arms, as it is a passing point on the way to Finisterre. Manor houses (pazos) and works of art of all styles abound, and natural spots are plentiful.
