Camino del Norte Hostel (Castropol)

OPEN ALL YEAR

A recently built hostel with spacious, functional facilities. Right before crossing the bridge that forms the natural border between Asturias and Galicia. A good place to stop your bike and finish a stage.

We are in Castropol (Asturias), specifically in Figueras, on the Camino del Norte.

We have ensuite rooms for 20 people, a bar, a restaurant and a garden.

Bunks distributed as follows: 16 beds in bunks. Two of the rooms have 5 beds and the other 6. The hostel has 2 double rooms and 3 shared rooms, each with a bathroom.

We are open all day from 7:00 a.m.

At our hostel, besides the services you need, you can also carry out maintenance on your bike (we have a wash area).

Bar and laundry service.

The town of Figueras is the most populated in the municipality of Castropol, despite not being its capital. It is a spot known for its beauty, set on the Eo estuary, the geographic feature that marks the border between Asturias and the province of Lugo.

It has basic services such as an on-call doctor, pharmacy, post office and taxi, as well as several small shops, a kiosk and plenty of bars.

Among the notable buildings in Figueras you can admire: the Pardo Donlebún Palace, whose central tower dates from the 16th century; the Parish Church of Santiago, from the 17th century, built over a former pilgrims’ hospital; the Parish Church of Figueras; the Atalaya Chapel, from the 19th century; and the Fort of Arroxo (Fortín d’Arroxo), from the 17th century.
