Newly built building located right on the Camino de Santiago, just next to the Romanesque church of San Tirso in the very urban centre of Palas de Rei. At San Marcos we offer a new concept and design of accommodation, more intimate and welcoming than conventional hostels. You will find quality services and facilities with the features of a three-star hotel but at the price of a hostel.

The history of Palas de Rei is intimately linked to hillfort culture, still preserving numerous archaeological remains (mámoas, dolmens and castros). The Romanesque style came in via the Camino de Santiago, leaving its mark on religious architecture, highlighting the church of Vilar de Donas, one of the main references of Galician Romanesque, declared a historic-artistic monument in 1931. The municipality has a wide artistic heritage: the Pazo de Laia, the Casa de Ulloa, the Castle of Pambre, a fortress raised around the year 1375.
