NearbyThe history of Palas de Rei is intimately linked to hillfort culture, still preserving numerous archaeological remains (mámoas, dolmens and castros). The Romanesque style came in via the Camino de Santiago, leaving its mark on religious architecture, highlighting the church of Vilar de Donas, one of the main references of Galician Romanesque, declared a historic-artistic monument in 1931. The municipality has a wide artistic heritage: the Pazo de Laia, the Casa de Ulloa, the Castle of Pambre, a fortress raised around the year 1375.
The best logistics of the Camino de Santiago. We have a hotel next to the cathedral of Santiago as a point of assistance and collection of our rental bicycles.
