Located in the southwest of the province of Lugo. Palas de Rei is an important town on the Camino, the end of the penultimate stage according to the Codex Calixtinus. It belongs to the A Ulloa district. One of the most important monuments is the castle of Pambre, built in 1375 by Gonzalo de Ulloa. The Church of San Tirso is interesting, preserving a 12th-century Romanesque portal. The church of San Salvador de Vilar de Donas was declared a National Monument in 1931. From here to Santiago the pilgrim has an almost flat profile.
