About us
Located in a tourist area (Esposende), the Mira Rio hotel is located on the national highway No. 13 Porto – Viana do Castelo, on the banks of the Cávado river. From the verandahs of its comfortable rooms you can enjoy a wonderful and unique landscape, where the majestic plantation of the Ofir pine tree and the extensive estuary of the Cávado River stand out. Hotel Mira Rio is inserted in one of the most beautiful landscapes in the north of Portugal. The coast of Esposende is part of the Natural Park of the North Coast, a protected area of great beauty, where you can enjoy nature tours, or simply to enjoy the beautiful beaches, Ofir, Apulia or Esposende. A few hundred meters away, the Cávado River, its estuary and mouth are a sanctuary for migratory birds covering the Esposende sky in a spectacle that can be enjoyed from the hotel terraces. The center of Esposende is about 500 meters away, as well as Fão 1 km away, the beaches of Ofir and Apulia also very close. The Castro de San Lorenzo is a national monument and one of the best examples of Celtic culture in Portugal. The Mira Rio hotel has ten rooms and three suites, all equipped with a complete bathroom with a bathtub, a hair dryer, air conditioning, a television with a TV screen, a telephone and free access to the “wireless” network. The suites, composed of bedroom and living room, are equipped with sofas and minibar. It also has private parking, living room with bar, bar service in the rental room, laundry and bicycle service. Transfer service to and from Porto airport, Póvoa de Varzim metro station or nearest railway (service subject to additional payment). On the ground floor of the building is one of the oldest restaurants in the city of Esposende, where quality and service have been a reference in recent years. It has capacity for 100 people.
