It was a matter of wanting it and finding the right people. And in our case it happened. We were all clear about it; each of us, on our own, had the same dream: a hotel where there were no guests, no customers. A hotel where you feel at home.

Two paths crossed: one that kept the family’s hospitality tradition and one that knew what it was to devote oneself to caring for others. Both stories converged into one: the desire to bring hospitality and care to a business, to a Hotel with Character.

That is the idea: that when you return to Las Doñas del Portazgo you feel the same sensation as returning to that house whose smell you never forget, to that home where you grew up or where you spent your summers. Walking, you only have to follow the Camino de Santiago because it passes by our door, within the urban centre of Villafranca del Bierzo, on Calle del Agua.

We have 17 rooms in which we take care of every detail. Each with its own style, with its character. Double rooms, singles, doubles for single use and Suites.

All rooms are exterior and have a hydromassage column, telephone, plasma television, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, free minibar and safe. Access and a room adapted for people with disabilities.
