Nearby

Welcome to TERRADILLOS DE LOS TEMPLARIOS, a small Castilian village set on the borders of the provinces of León and Palencia.

Its name comes from the place name “terrado” (small rise of land).

The village sits on a simple promontory on the N-120 road, where the town’s first houses rise, offering a slight elevation that dominates the horizon. Hence the name Terradillos.

Here we can see the famous cellars dug into the earth, looking like “hobbiton” from the famous Lord of the Rings film.
