The “El Pilar” Hostel is a true bike-pilgrim sanctuary; in its magnificent facilities and with the enthusiastic attention of Isabel and her mother, you will feel at home.

The hostel is arranged around a huge courtyard of a local manor house, and as soon as you cross the entrance gate you will immediately feel welcomed and comfortable, as if you were in your own home.

Of course, the facilities are more than up to what we could ask for to store our bicycles and grant ourselves a well-deserved rest.

The “El Pilar” hostel in Rabanal del Camino is also a point of sale for the famous Bicigrino kit.

Rabanal del Camino is an ideal place to stop so you can tackle the climb to the Cruz de Hierro pass early in the morning with your strength intact.

This hostel has a masseur service; in its facilities “Paco” will prepare our legs to relax them after the stage and, above all, to prepare for the hard climb the next day to “Cruz de Hierro”.

In Rabanal del Camino you can immerse yourself in a genuine, well-preserved Maragato village with its coat-of-arms mansions and cobbled streets. It is without doubt one of the most charming villages on the whole Camino.

You are at the foot of the mountains of León and, more specifically, at the foot of the climb to the mythical Cruz de Hierro, without doubt a unique and unrepeatable place to take a break on the way.

In the inns of this town you can taste the famous “cocido maragato”.
