We are a tourist and pilgrims’ hostel located in Viana, a city that holds the title of Principality of the Old Kingdom of Navarre. We are in the southwest of Navarre, in the Tierra Estella area, bordering Álava and La Rioja.

The building, of traditional local architecture, has been fully restored. We have a terrace and patio, wonderful walks through the historic centre, its city wall and interesting manor houses, palaces and churches that show the splendour it enjoyed between the 16th and 18th centuries.

The Camino de Santiago passes by our hostel; we are the last town of the Navarrese Camino de Santiago and one more star = (IZAR) on the Way of the Stars. You will receive personalised treatment from us, and we will inform you so you can make the most of your stay in this very diverse area.

Viana has an urban layout reflecting its character as a fortified stronghold, the main mission for which it was created. It preserves a regular plan of rectangular, symmetrical structure. Facing each cardinal point are the access gateways to the city. They were modified in the 16th century, bear coats of arms and are dedicated to saints depicted in their respective niches.

Part of the walled enclosure that surrounded the town is still preserved. You can see the wall and barbicans of San Pedro and Santa María, underground remains of the castle, sections of wall, and structures of various towers: the Tambor tower, the Tahona and the San Lorenzo tower.

On your visit, do not miss the Church of Santa María, built in Gothic style with renovations in the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries; the Baroque palaces of the Town Hall and the Balcón de Toros, the old pilgrims’ hospital, or the ruins of San Pedro.
