AmenitiesCasa Lixa was a farmhouse built in 1929, where three generations lived carrying out livestock and farming activities.
It was recently restored, preserving its historical features with the original materials: local limestone, chestnut wood, ceiling beams, wooden corridors and the slate roofs typical of rural areas, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Its comfortable interiors stand out, decorated in a contemporary style with restored antique pieces that combine with and respect the history of the place.
The house offers extraordinary conditions for pilgrims or anyone who wishes to relax, enjoy and get to know the rural side of our area, in an enviable natural setting.
An ideal place to rest and start the hardest stage of the way to Santiago, going from an altitude of 675 metres to 1,300 over a distance of 10 km.
KitchenWe have a restaurant where you can enjoy home-cooked meals with local produce from our own garden. Botillo, meats from the Lugo mountains, Bierzo peppers, chestnuts, cherries, trout, etc., some of the best typical dishes, and excellent local wines with denomination of origin of the Mencía variety; everything to make the meal a real pleasure, where you will be served impeccably.
