Yes, it is our main service for the Camino: we deliver the bike at the starting point of your route and you return it when you reach Santiago de Compostela, with no need to go back to the start.
We deliver preferably to a bike shop at your route’s starting point, so we can guarantee a check of the bike after transport and a smoother service. If shop delivery is not possible —due to a holiday or specific service constraints— we arrange delivery to your hotel or a private address. We can deliver to any city in Spain and Portugal.
We specialise in all the Camino de Santiago routes, but we can ship and deliver bikes to any city in Spain and Portugal. The usual return point is Santiago at the end of the Camino, but it is not mandatory: if your route ends elsewhere, we agree with you a reference bike shop where to return it.
You can use the bike for as many days as you need —3, 4, 5, 6, 7 or more—; there is no minimum usage period. What has a minimum is the rate: even if you use it for fewer than 7 days, the 7-day rate always applies, because the service includes delivery at the start and pick-up at the end. The bike comes ready for the route, with panniers, a rear rack, a repair kit and a lock. A helmet is not included (see below).
Yes, a €200 guarantee that we refund at the end of the service. Its only purpose is to arrange and secure the return of the bike: we are not fussy about the inspection and we do not penalise the small scratches of normal use.
Insurance is optional. Our Bicigrino Asistencia Total covers mechanical breakdowns and punctures (labour and parts), a taxi to the nearest workshop, and replacing the bike within 24–48 h if it cannot be repaired. It does not cover theft, damage from misuse, or personal accidents. You can add it when booking; full details on our Assistance Insurance page.
Yes, and we work with the most powerful, longest-range e-bikes on the market today. They all have batteries of at least 750 Wh guaranteed, and most are already 800 Wh, so they easily cover a daily stage and recharge overnight at your accommodation. We offer different levels: front-suspension e-bikes, full-suspension e-bikes, and even carbon e-MTBs with the DJI Avinox motor and cutting-edge technology.
We cover any cycle-touring route in Spain and Portugal. We specialise in the Camino de Santiago and deliver bikes on all its routes: Camino Francés, Camino Portugués (central and coastal, also from Lisbon and Porto), Camino del Norte, Camino Primitivo, Camino Inglés, Vía de la Plata and Sanabrés, Camino de Invierno, Camino Aragonés, Camino Catalán, Camino del Salvador, Camino Lebaniego, and the routes to Finisterre and Muxía. And we are not limited to the Camino: we also work other great cycle-touring routes such as EuroVelo, the Pirinexus or the Camino del Cid.
The Camino Francés is the best one to start with: it is very well signposted, has services on every stage and a huge community of pilgrims, so it is hard to get lost and there is always help nearby.
Yes. We deliver the bike in Lisbon, in Porto or at whichever starting point you prefer, and you return it in Santiago at the end.
Renting saves you the transport, the maintenance and the risk of a breakdown far from home: you get a serviced, ready-to-go bike and leave it in Santiago at the end. If you would rather bring your own bike, we can also transport it for you (see below).
Yes, and more and more people do. The assistance helps on the climbs and lets you enjoy longer stages without exhausting yourself; you just need to recharge the battery each night.
You need the Pilgrim’s Credential stamped along the way and to ride at least the last 200 km to Santiago by bike. With that you get the Compostela at the Pilgrim’s Office.
Little more than the will to go: the bike (which we bring you), comfortable clothes, the credential and your accommodation booked. We take care of delivery, pick-up and luggage transport.
The Camino is very well signposted with the yellow arrows, so you do not need a GPS to follow it. Even so, you can rely on our route planner and the tracks to travel with complete peace of mind.
For hygiene and safety: a helmet must fit each person well, so we recommend using your own, properly adjusted helmet.
Yes. With the rental bike you go at your own pace, choose your stages and your accommodation, and we take care of the bike logistics.
Yes, we offer the organised option with accommodation, luggage transport and, for groups, a support car and guide. Get in touch and we will put together a tailor-made proposal for your route and group.
We have a bike transport service: we collect it and take it to the starting point (or back), boxed and protected for the journey. Write to us with your route and dates and we will arrange it.
Yes, in two ways. For stage-to-stage luggage transfer we work with specialised partner companies and coordinate it for you. And we also offer, directly ourselves, shipping your luggage from the start of the route to the end of the Camino or cycle-touring trip, so you ride light.
