The Pilgrim’s Credential<\/strong> is much more than a simple paper booklet: it is the document that certifies your passage through the different stages of the Camino de Santiago<\/strong> and identifies you as a pilgrim. Each stamp it contains represents a part of your experience, a souvenir and proof of the journey you have made, whether on foot, on horseback or by bicycle. <\/p>\n\n

This document is presented at the Pilgrim’s Office in Santiago<\/strong> to obtain the Compostela<\/strong>, the official certificate that certifies having completed the Camino.The credential is stamped with the stamps<\/strong> (also called “cu\u00f1os”) that you will find along the route: in hostels, parishes, bars, town halls, stores, churches or even in some emblematic points of the Camino.<\/p>\n\n

Each stamp includes the date and place, creating a visual journey of your trip to Santiago de Compostela. It is a symbol of authenticity and, at the same time, an indelible memory of the experience. <\/p>\n\n

A passport for pilgrims?<\/p>\n— Specific requirements for cyclists.<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n

For pilgrims who do the Camino by bicycle<\/strong>, the regulations establish a minimum distance of 200 kilometers<\/strong> to obtain the Compostela (in the case of walkers, it is 100 km).Within the last 200 kilometers, it is essential to stamp at least twice a day<\/strong>, preferably twice a day<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n

  • One at the beginning of the day<\/strong> (for example, at the lodging or departure village).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Another at the end of the stage<\/strong> (at the hostel, parish or place of night rest).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

    In this way, your daily pace is correctly certified and it is guaranteed that the route has been completed entirely on the bicycle, complying with the criteria of the Camino.<\/p>\n\n

    Where to get the credential?<\/h4>\n\n
