Surroundings

The house where the hostel is located was an old corral of neighbors built in the late nineteenth century. 10 families lived in the house sharing a bathroom and a kitchen located in the courtyard, the common area and meeting place. It was renovated 13 years ago.

The Triana district has retained the flavor of the old neighborhoods. In the mid-nineteenth century there was built the first stable bridge to communicate with Seville, the Isabel II bridge (better known as Triana bridge).

This traditional isolation led to a feeling of independence that is still preserved. In fact, the main church of the district, Santa Ana, is known as Catedral de Triana. Este aislamiento tradicional dio lugar a un sentimiento de independencia que aún se conserva. De hecho, la principal iglesia del barrio, Santa Ana, se conoce como la “Catedral de Triana”.
