The Serenata Hostel presents a new quality standard for Hostels. Come try the quality of a Hotel with prices of a Hostel! With the beginning of the 20th century, the building where the Hostel is located was the Bissaya Barreto Maternity Institute and later the Coimbra Music Conservatory. Meanwhile the building was fully restored and ready for you! We couldn’t have a better mix: Life and Music!! Meet people from all over the world, taking advantage of our social meals and our pubcrawl. We are located in the heart of Coimbra, in Largo da Sé Vieja (UNESCO world heritage). We are close to all the attractions of the city. Our location allows our guests to walk around the city without using public transport. We are 5 and 10 minutes from the train and bus stations, one minute from the University of Coimbra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and literally next door to Coimbra’s biggest historical attraction, the Cathedral of the Old Cathedral. You can wake up, open the window and look at this magnificent monument! We have different types of rooms to choose from: shared dorms, double rooms, Twin rooms and Suites. Our buffet breakfast is served in our dining room. Save money by cooking some tapas in our fully equipped kitchen. We have a bar and two common rooms with plasma television, board games and sofas.
