Hostel Eleven is the last building dedicated to local accommodation, right in the historic center of Esposende. It is an elegant house from the end of the 20th century, it has a young, modern and cozy atmosphere. This two-story building has three rooms on the first floor, two adapted for groups of 5 and 8 bunk beds, ideal for groups or pilgrims and another luxurious double master room with the option of an extra bed for a child. On the ground floor, after the reception, we find the common area where you can prepare your food with our team, in addition to being able to enjoy an outdoor terrace.

The building dates from the 17th and 18th centuries and was restored respecting all the valuable elements of the building. Albergaria-a-Velha was, for centuries, a crossing point and an obligatory stop for all those who traveled through the main Estrada Real of the country and moved between Lisbon and Porto. Initially with the first hostel founded by Queen D. Teresa in 1117, then with several inns, then with the hotels and pensions of the early twentieth century, today's local accommodations, hotels and pensions, of variable size and quality, a- Velha has always been, thanks to its location, a privileged land of reference in terms of accommodation. One of these lodgings, the remarkable Estalagem dos Padres, founded in 1818 and in the course of some 200 years in the possession of the same family, became famous because many guests stayed there, many of whom were distinguished. Its name, which prevailed throughout the centuries, is due to the fact that, on three occasions, the priests were its owners. First two brothers, then one of these nephews, and then the latter's nephew. This sequence of ecclesiastics in possession of the inn, for decades, was the basis of its name. The history of this establishment was written in old handwritten notes, but also in travel literature, national and foreign, biographies and memories of some public figures, among several other bibliographies. This building, after the inn was closed, had various other occupations and functionalities, and is currently on the verge of being an accommodation unit.
