Comforts
New building located on Camino de Santiago; right next to the Romanesque church of San Tirso in the same town of Palas de Rei.
In San Marcos we offer a new concept with a more intimate and friendly design than conventional lodging accommodations. You will find quality services and facilities with the characteristics of a *** hotel but at the price of a hostel.
Our goal is to make the stay of the pilgrim as pleasant and comfortable as possible so he/she can rest and recover to take the road again the following day.

Surroundings
Located in the southwest of the province of Lugo, Palas de Rei is a significant town in Camino de Santiago, as it is the end of the penultimate stage according to the Codex Calixtinux. It belongs to the region of A Ulloa. In the west there is Sierra de Carerón, which highest peak is the mount of the same name with 797 m.
One of the most important monuments is Pambre Castle, built in 1375 by Gonzalo de Ulloa.
It is also interesting to visit the Church of San Tirso, which preserves an interesting Romanesque façade from the XIIth century.
The church of San Salvador de Vilar de Donas was declared a National Monument in 1931. Built in the XIIth century in Romanesque style, it was part of a monastery disappeared as of today.
The territory of this municipality is full of Celtic forts, Romanesque churches and feudal buildings that inspired the famous Galician writer Emilia Pardo Bazán, in her work Los Pazos de Ulloa.
The pilgrim has an almost flat profile to Santiago, as going down to the 560 m elevation in which Palas de Rei is located, the itinerary will always drop down until the 300 m elevation to which Santiago de Compostela is at.
