The features of this lodge and the potential of the environment in which it is located are ideal for those doing Camino de Santiago by bicycle who want to relax away from metropolises and cities. Its location a few kilometers from Logroño make it ideal for this task and the facilities are adequate for bicigrinos and bicycles.
Navarrete is a few kilometers from Logroño and in its streets you can already feel the peace and tranquility of a small town. In a calm and relaxed atmosphere, we can stroll through its cobbled streets and admire the peculiar old town. Historically a town of potters, today it still has a few shops where you can admire this ancient craft.
Nowadays its old part is preserved and restored and you can see the layout of a walled city. The cellars were built into the hillside, which facilitated the drilling of wells for the production of wine. This provision means that there are many houses blown over arcades, which gives the town a distinctive image. Traditional architecture is based on the use of stone masonry very well conjoined with brick, a very common material in this village of pottery tradition.
Special mention to the parish church, dedicated to the Assumption of Mary. Inside it, the golden altarpiece impresses us with its twisted columns, which make this work one of the best Baroque in La Rioja from late seventeenth century. In the sacristy there is a triptych with images of the Virgin, St. Peter and St. John. Visiting hours are Monday to Sunday from 09.00 to 13.00 h. and from 16.30 to 18.30 h., closed Sunday afternoon.

The yellow arrows are the guide and Santiago de Compostela, the goal. The reasons, each person knows their own. Every day, an increasing number of people undertake the Camino for spiritual or vital reasons. They do it from afar or nearby places, ie in countless languages, on foot, by bicycle, alone or in company. They all become pilgrims and certainly, it changes the life of the vast majority of them.
As Nacho Najera. In 2004, from Roncesvalles, he undertook its first Camino with his father. A few kilometers from Logroño, at Los Arcos, a knee injury forced him to leave and go through surgery. After the operation, its commitment increased and he directed his steps with his eyes fixed on Santiago. The French Way, Via de la Plata, the Northern Way ... From his city of residence, Logroño, and also from Seville, Astorga, Caceres, Irun ... Nine Caminos behind his back fed a dream: to build a hostel which was nice, different, stylish and open wide.
After time and much effort this dream has been fulfilled. His name is Check In Rioja (C / Los Banos, 2. Logroño. Tel +34 941 27 23 29. Mail: firstname.lastname@example.org) and it is located in the historic center, particularly within walking distance of the yellow arrows, which after crossing the stone bridge go by the Church of Santiago, the Ruavieja, the park of La Grajera ... The next stage will be Nájera, but first you must rest.
Thus, in the old Jewish quarter, a building that once, in 1934, was a dance hall and then a cabinet, has been converted into a functional establishment decorated with all amenities to make your stay a pleasant one. Check In Rioja has 30 beds, a bathroom and four toilets, one of them disabled-accessible. Additionally, it has comfortable and spacious common areas: living room and kitchen-office where you can chat, share the experiences of that day and, above all, regain strength for the next day.
For those doing their particular pilgrim journey on two wheels, there is a space where bicycles also 'rest' safely. Not to mention, free WiFi and most importantly, a friendly and natural treatment. And the thing is that Nacho Najera, a technical architect now converted into a hostel host, wants his home to be the home of everybody.
